Nord, Son Espanyol
Hideaway country house in idyllic setting
Price
€3,200,000
This delightful property dating from the 17th century was exceptionally restored by its current owners. The interior design blends modern comfort with authentic features typical of a Mallorcan country house including stone walls, terrazzo flooring throughout, vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. The great porch spends shade in the summer months whereas five fireplaces spread warmth during the cooler time of the year. Apart from a garden with lavender and roses, there is a kitchen garden, fruit and olive trees and a paddock. The property enjoys total privacy and is located only 10 minutes from Palma’s old town, in Son Espanyol, within walking distance to the metro station running from the university campus (UIB) to Plaza de España. Further features include: under floor heating, mains electricity, own well, double garage, horse stables, paddock and various outbuildings. There is a project available for home extension and the possibility to build a pool.

Establiments is a residential area located in the North of Palma de Mallorca. It is a very well-looked upon, high-in-demand area due to its proximity to the city centre whilst also offering easy access to all amenities of daily life and green, tranquil surroundings. The area is mainly made up of highly residential zones, home to beautiful country estates and charming fincas. The district borders the municipalities of Esporles and Puigpunent to the north and west, respectively, and the districts of Son Anglada and Secar de la Real to the south and the suburb of Son Espanyol to the east. Establiments dates back to the 16th century, although the territory of the current neighbourhood was occupied much earlier. Prehistoric remains can be found in the nearby Son Bauçà and Ca'n Mallol caves and during the period when much of Spain was under Muslim rule, from the 700s-1400s AD, agriculture developed in the area. Once an independent municipality, Establiments became part of Palma in 1910.
