Petra is a rural town located in the centre of Mallorca with around 2.700 inhabitants. Its peak known as Puig de Bonany, boasts a view over a large part of the island, stretching up to the Bay of Alcudia. Petra has a variety of supermarkets, restaurants and cafeterias, as well as a pharmacy and a sports centre. The weekly market takes place on Wednesdays.
