Neubiberg (population 14,098) is one of the preferred
residential areas in the southeast of Munich. It is a municipality in the
Munich district, administrative region of Upper Bavaria, with the
districts of Neubiberg and Unterbiberg. It borders directly on the
Munich districts of Neuperlach and Waldperlach, the
municipalities of Ottobrunn and Unterhaching, and the district of
Waldkolonie in the municipality of Putzbrunn. The good infrastructure in
Neubiberg and Unterbiberg and the neighboring Unterhaching
is characterized by all shopping options, all types of schools, and
kindergartens.
There are now four public schools: two primary schools,
one secondary school (Realschule), and one grammar school (Gymnasium). Munich’s
city center can be conveniently reached by public transport in about
20 minutes. Thanks to the nearby motorway connection to the A 99,
the airport can also be reached without difficulty. The well-known Bavarian
lakes as well as the fascinating mountain landscape can likewise be reached quickly,
without major inner-city traffic jams. Walks and cycling trips in the neighboring
forests and meadows round off this appealing residential location.
